The Joseph Branch Trail is open and accessible to all in Elgin, OR!

The Spring of 2026 will mark two years of success and community connections for the Joseph Branch Trail in Elgin, Oregon. Local volunteer standout Tony Lambert has stepped to steward this site taking great care of the park and trail section - Thank you, Tony!

The JBTC is continually working toward a conditional use permit in Union County to expand the trail-with-rail beyond Elgin city limits

The Joseph Branch Trail in Elgin Features:

  • A beautiful pocket park equipped with wheelchair accessible tables and a covered picnic area

  • 0.4 Miles of ADA accessible trail-with-rail

  • A gaga ball court for the kiddos to play

  • An electric vehicle charging station (payment goes right back to the City of Elgin!)

  • A bicycle repair station

  • A bike rack welded locally by the Eglin FFA in 2024

  • Views of the Grande Ronde River Valley

  • Excellent riparian area birding opportunities

  • Interpretive signage about local history and more!
